The Opportunity

This position works out of our St. Paul, MN location in the AVD division. Abbott Vascular provides innovative, minimally invasive, and cost-effective products for the treatment of vascular disease.

We are seeking a motivated and skilled Automation Engineer to join our team. In this role, you will design, implement, and maintain automated systems to enhance efficiency and productivity in our operations. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify automation opportunities and deliver innovative solutions. This position is a divisional position, meaning you’ll work on applications that impact all Abbott Vascular products at various manufacturing facilities in North America and Europe.

What You’ll Work On

  • Design and develop automated systems for manufacturing, production, or other operational processes.
  • Troubleshoot and maintain existing automation systems to ensure optimal performance.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to identify automation needs and propose solutions.
  • Create detailed project roadmaps and documentation for automation projects.
  • Ensure compliance with safety and quality standards in all automation activities.
  • Create validation and maintenance procedures for automated systems.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelors Degree in engineering, science, or closely related discipline.
  • Minimum 5 years of significant engineering and/or operational experience.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with robotics and control systems.
  • Knowledge of industry-specific automation tools and software

The base pay for this position is

$75,300.00 – $150,700.00

In specific locations, the pay range may vary from the range posted.
